of Allegan, died Friday, December 7, 2012, at Ely Manor Nursing Home, where he had received excellent care by the staff. Mr. Bowden was born December 29, 1929, in Hay Lake, Michigan, the son of John and Sara (Lee) Bowden. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea, he was a member of the Otsego VFW Post 3030. He loved to watch NASCAR, and helped his nephew, John, build a car that John raced at Jones Speedway. He was a loving father and grandfather that will be missed by all. Surviving are his 3 children; Rebecca Warner, Ken and Judy Warner, David Warner, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, his brother, Lawrence Schwederson, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Richard is preceded in death by his son Ron Christman. Richard also loved and will be missed by his best buddy "Petie" whom he took on many trips. Cremation has taken place. There will be no public service. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
