Allegan, MI, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at his home. Mr. Nahikian was born April 1, 1927 in Allegan, the son of Sarkis and Fern (Stockdale) Nahikian. He was a graduate of Dowagiac High School and Allegan High School, class of 1945, and a graduate of K College, Kalamazoo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the First Congregational Church. He loved golf and was a life member of Ot-Well-Egan Country Club and was a member of the Elks and the American Legion. He was an insurance agent for Lincoln National Life Ins Co. from 1952 -1994. Surviving are his wife, Ardis; 4 children, David and Karen Nahikian of Florida, Robert and Wendi Nahikian, Patricia Nahikian, and Jonathon and Mindi Nahikian, all of Allegan; 9 grandchildren; 1 brother, John and Eleanor Nahikian of Allegan; 1 sister-in-law, Jane Nahikian of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madeline "Lynne" and brother William. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Memorial services will be held at the First Congregational Church Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastors Barry Lucas and Joseph Spackman officiating.
