of Hopkins, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his home. Mr. Mayrand was born November 24, 1936,in Detroit, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Bloom) Mayrand. Butch loved to build furniture, and had worked in the industry for over 40 years, working at Stowe-Davis, Kendal and Haworth. Surviving are his children, Ray and Tammi Mayrand of Holland, Randy Mayrand of Whitmore Lake, and Kelly and Jeff Glascott of Hopkins, 3 step sons, Robert Cantu of Dorr, Louie Cantu of Allegan, and Danny Cantu of Grand Rapids, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother, James and Carol Mayrand of Ohio, 3 sisters, Marilyn and Gus DeBates of Grandville, Pat and Merl Stone of Hopkins, and Susie Post of Burnips, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his girlfriend, Joyce Mead. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lois and Alma. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2 - 5 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the Burnips United Methodist Church on Monday at 11 am. Pastor Rick Fritz will officiate. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery, Overisel Twp. Memorials may be made to the Burnips United Methodist Church.
