Allegan Twp., MI, was born November 14, 1924 in Allegan, the son of Rich and Gertrude Harnden. He graduated from Allegan High School, class of 1942. He was a life-long dairy farmer, living his life on the Harnden Centennial Farm. He passed away at the Allegan General Hospital, Monday, May 5, 2008, with his wife and daughters by his side. He worked on the Millgrove School Board and the Allegan Township Board of Review for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Beverly; 5 daughters, Kathleen (Jim) Willis, Diane (Gary) Kerber, Donna Durham, Robyn Handlogten and Connie (Scott) Dangremond; grandchildren, Brian Kerber, Bobby (Jen) Kerber, Brad (Lindsey) Kerber, Troy Goodrich, Nerissa Goodrich, Janeen Willis, Johanna Willis, April (Walt) Hadder, Amber (Matt) Ashbrook, Ashley Hodge, Danielle (Mitch) Ostrander, Randy Hodge, Kyle Harnden, Kara and Alli Dangremond; 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Commans, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Mildred Valitchka, Bernice Crafts, Clare Harnden and Lewis Harnden. Friends may meet with the family from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Robert Stover officiating.
