Allegan, MI, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at his home. Mr. Funk was born February 28, 1962 in Allegan, the son of Raymond A. and Helen (Ochampaugh) Funk. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1980 and was a member of Christ Community Church. Ray had been employed by Haworth in Holland for 10 years. Surviving are his mother, Helen Funk; 2 sisters, Jane and Vince Caldarona and Donna and Bill Gurn all of Allegan; 2 nephews, Eric and Samantha Harris and Bill Gurn Jr.; 1 niece, Angie and Chris DeYoung, 2 great nieces, Grace and Madalyn. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond, and brother, Donald. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday at 6 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. at the Christ Community Church in Allegan. Rev. G. Patrick White will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Ray and Don Funk Memorial Children's Fund. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
