Raymond S. Elsey, 77, of Allegan, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Elsey was born August 17, 1926 in Chicago, IL the son of Elmer and Nola (Dowling) Elsey. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and had retired from Sherwin-Williams Paint Company in Chicago in 1985. Surviving are 2 brothers, Roland (Peggy) Elsey of New York, Allen (Ann) Elsey of Illinois; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida on Nov. 28, 2003; 2 brothers, Harry and Elmer; 2 sisters, Lila Belle and Anna May. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 pm until time of funeral service at 2:30 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A. officiating.
