Allegan, MI, formerly of Benton Harbor, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Ludlam was born July 13, 1930 in St. Joseph, MI, the son of Ralph and Helen (Burkhard) Ludlam. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School and was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church for 40 years. He had lived in Benton Harbor for 40 years, moving to Allegan 11 years ago. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He had been employed at Zenith for 40 years and had served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (Robinson); 5 children and their spouses, Dory and Kim Lassiter of Indiana, Michael and Heather Ludlam of Hopkins, Robert and Jill Ludlam of Illinois, Karen and Stan Hokanson, of Minnesota, and Jay Ludlam of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother, Tom Ludlam of Indiana; 1 sister, Patricia Nash of Sister Lakes. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Nash, and sister-in-law, Ella Ludlam.
