Priscilla Nancy (Page) Brower, of Allegan, was born March 20, 1935, in Allegan, MI, to Floyd and Rena (Beagle) Page, and died March 24, 2009, in Cartersville Medical Center, Cartersville, GA. She attended the Allegan Public Schools and worked for 23 years as a cook at Allegan's West Ward Elementary School, retiring in 1992. She also catered special events and enjoyed making cakes, including wedding cakes for her three daughters. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of Allegan where she taught children's Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and, in the last several months, flying between Michigan and Georgia to spend time with her daughters and their families, showering love and affection on all of them. Nancy was a generous and loving person who always put others ahead of herself. She loved the Lord and lifted all things up to him in prayer. On Sept. 12, 1954, Nancy married Ernest J. Brower, whom she had met at the roller-skating rink he managed in Allegan. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2008. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Sena vanMelle, an infant son, Bradley Brower, an infant granddaughter, Amber vanMelle, a sister, Phyllis Clark, and three brothers, Lloyd, Edward and Ronald Page. She is survived by two daughters, Sarita (Michael) Morris, of Cartersville, GA, and Larie (David) Person, of Kalamazoo; a son-in-law, Craig (fiancAC.e Jackie) vanMelle, of Allegan; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda) and Nathan (Kristi) Morris, Bradley and Justin vanMelle, and Adam, Marissa and Amanda Person; four great-grandchildren, Grant, Alec, Vincent and Amelia Morris; a brother, Morris Page, of Allegan; a sister-in-law, Alberta Page, of Defiance, OH, and a brother-in-law, Marvin (Dottie) Brower, of Allegan; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, with the Rev.
