Phyllis Jane Armentrout, 93 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Briarwood Assisted Living in Allegan. Born May 5, 1928 in Lakeville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Shupert) Kollar and the wife of the late Grover K. Armentrout. Phyllis was a very active and long-time member of the Church of God in Allegan. She enjoyed playing cards with the church ladies and being around all of them. Phyllis was a supervisor at Rockwell, where she worked and later retired. She was also the first woman to graduate night school from Aquinas College. Phyllis saw a lot during her 93 years on this earth. She appreciated those around her and did her best to show others love and compassion. Phyllis is survived by her three children, Larry (Kathleen) Armentrout, Tony Armentrout, and Mitch (Vivian) Armentrout; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Bill Kollar and Gale Kollar. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, John Kollar, Lou Kollar, Mike Kollar and Tom Kollar. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest by her husband, Grover, in Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Township. Memorial donations may be made in Phyllis's name to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd., Holland, MI 49423. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
