of Hopkins, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Mrs. Battjes was born May 22, 1929, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Abe and Neva (Feltenbarger) Simmons. Honey worked for over 38 years at General Electric in Holland. Surviving are her 2 children; Dixie Battjes of Hopkins, and Jim and Tonya Battjes of Allegan, 2 grandchildren; Amber and Abe, her brother, Dick Simmons of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H., and her grandson, James P. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 29 at 10 am at the Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp., Comer Skinner will officiate. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel.
