Philip Joseph Scheidel, 58, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his home. Born June 26, 1958 in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Philip Alfred and Kathleen McGuire Scheidel. Mr. Scheidel served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for six years. He then returned to Allegan and went to work for the paper mill and finally for Nestle for many years prior to retirement. Mr. Scheidel is survived by his five children, Jennifer, Christina, Caleb, Leone and Eric; siblings, Debra (Scott) Hardy, Gary Scheidel, Brenda (Anthony) Wright, Amy Scheidel, and Eric (Colleen) Scheidel; numerous grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Scheidel and Dennis Scheidel. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
