of Allegan, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Allegan General Hospital. Penny Jean was born March 25, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Calvin R. and Jean P. (Pierce) Tayerle. Penny graduated from Deerfield High School in IL, in 1971. She was a Register Nurse, having worked with the Battle Creek Health System for over 13 years, as well as Bronson Hospital, for 7 years. Surviving are her 4 children: Jason and Tara Sebolt, Elizabeth and Nick Blank, Trina and Travis Hoogstraten, Jessica Hansen; 8 grandchildren: Madison, Caleb Robert, Morgan, Andrew, Allyson Jean, Dylan Steven, Ava, Maddie; her mother: Jean Tayerle; 2 sisters: Karen and Tom Domschke, Robin and D.J. Marco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven M. Hansen. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 2pm, with a visitation from 1-2pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Chaplain Greg Carlson will officiate.
