Allegan, MI, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord Saturday, February 8, 2003. Mrs. Ninke was born June 24, 1924 in Allegan Twp., the daughter of Herman & Martha (Braun) Eckert. She had worked as a technician at the Allegan County Health Dept. and was a wonderful homemaker. On August 19, 1945 she married Robert, who survives, also surviving are 3 children and their spouses, Marclyn & Kenneth Hoyt of Okemos, Ronald & Karen Ninke of Portage, and Arlene & Steve Barber of Otsego; 5 grandchildren, Daniel & Kelly Hoyt, Matthew, Chase, Jessica and Angela; 1 brother and his wife, Waldemar & Mary Eckert of Kalamazoo; 1 sister-in-law, Viola Eckert of Otsego; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald, and her sister & brother-in-law, Ruth & Bruno Puschel. Though she struggled for many years with MS, Pauline felt blessed to be able to serve God through her life-long church work at St. John Lutheran Church in Allegan. She was a special lady and will be remembered by all who knew her. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Pastor Ronald Kruse officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund.
