Obituary

Paul Ellis McClung passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1944.

Paul was a loving husband to Mary Kathryn McClung, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Paul James McClung (Monica), proud grandfather to Paul Vincent and Kobe McClung, and a loving father to Deidra Jessen (Scott), grandfather to Cole Bender and Leiton Feliciano, and great-grandfather to Alyviah and Max Feliciano.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances McClung, and his brother Darrel McClung. He is survived by his brothers Dwayne and Dana McClung, his sister Marlene Fischer (Dick), and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Paul was raised working in the oil fields alongside his father and brothers, where he learned the value of hard work and family. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in South Korea. Following his military service, Paul attended two years of college, where he met the love of his life, Kathy. They married and built a life together, and Paul went on to work in manufacturing, eventually retiring from Hart & Cooley.

In his spare time, Paul loved coaching baseball and was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed drag racing and spending time at the track with his brother, son, and grandsons. Paul had a deep love for the outdoors and always looked forward to the fall and hunting season. Summers were spent barbecuing, sharing stories, and enjoying meaningful conversations with everyone he met.

Paul will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Burnips Township Hall.
