Kalamazoo, MI, formerly of Allegan, died Monday, November 2, 2009. Mr. Kidwell was born June 17, 1966 in Allegan, the son of Donald and Pearl (Bellgraph) Kidwell. He was a 1984 graduate of Allegan High School and had worked as a mental health counselor in Kalamazoo. He was a singer and played drums and had played in several Kalamazoo area bands. He was artistic and enjoyed drawing. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Donald and Rita Kidwell of Holland; 2 brothers, Donald Kidwell of Florida and Basil (Billy) Kidwell of Dorr; 3 sisters, Carrie (Wayne) Hopson of Paw Paw, Judy (Bill) Thomas of Indiana and Dawn (Tom) Berner of Otsego; 2 step-sisters, Renee (Steve) Emelander of Comstock Park and Rochelle (Steve) Collier of East Lansing; 2 step-brothers, Randy (Elizabeth) Lehmoine of Twin Lake and Ray (Wendy) Lehmoine of Wayland; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl, in 1972. Friends may meet with the family from 1 p.m. Sunday until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Mr. Bill Rose officiating. Interment at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
