Hopkins, MI, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Simmons was born June 24, 1931 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Horace and Ruby (DeLong) Elliott. Pat graduated from Hopkins High School in 1949, and from Albright College in Battle Creek, with an Accounting Degree. She worked for Reynolds Metals in Grand Rapids for several years, and also as a teacher's aide in Hopkins for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan. On September 20, 1952, Patricia Ann Elliott, married Dale "Dick" Simmons, who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Karen and Bobby Allen of Allegan; 1 granddaughter, Nicole and Joe Prolo; and 3 great- granddaughters, Bethanne, Isabel and Emma. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. David Grondz, Celebrant. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp.
