Patricia "Pat" Jenkins of Allegan, Michigan, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Born Patricia Olcott in Allegan on August 3, 1943, she was the daughter of Brice and Beatrice Olcott. She attended Allegan High School (Class of 1963) and later studied photography and graphic design at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Pat was a talented artist, photographer, and quilter, and won many ribbons at the Allegan County Fair. She was also an avid genealogist.

Pat was a devoted wife to her husband, Bill "BJ" Jenkins. They started dating in 1989 and were married on December 6, 1995. She and BJ enjoyed spending time at their pond, watching wildlife, and fishing together. For over three decades, Pat worked as the bookkeeper and office manager for their business, BJ's Auto Repair. She was a fixture in the shop even after she stopped working and loved visiting with customers.

Perhaps her most cherished role in life was that of a mother to her four children: Brenda (Bill) Chin of Sunnyvale, CA; Brad (Michele) Clawson of McKinney, TX; Carrie McBride (Tony Crossley) of Anacortes, WA; and Dr. Tracy (Dr. Jason) DeHaan of San Jose, CA. She enjoyed working with her stepson, Mark Jenkins, and was proud of her stepson, Willie (Tina) Jenkins, both of Allegan. Once the kids were grown and out of the house, she loved being a pet parent and spoiling her four cats.

Pat is survived by her brother, Bob Olcott (Gary Lynn) of Clover, CA; her husband, BJ; four children; two stepsons; and many grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brice and Beatrice Olcott, and her sister, Janice Wheeler.

The family would like to thank Tim and Lori Dickinson for their friendship and support, as well as the teams at Allegan County Generations Adult Day Care and Corewell Hospice of Holland for the excellent care they provided to Pat.

The family is hosting a memorial service on Friday, July 11, at the United Methodist Church in Allegan. A religious ceremony will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life in the Fellowship Hall from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
