Patricia Louise Gillette

February 23, 1940 - June 7, 2025 (Age 85)

Patricia Gillette passed away peacefully after midnight on June 7th.

Patricia was born in Paw Paw, Michigan. She had many struggles throughout her life but they led her to Christ. With each hardship she grew stronger in her faith. She married Earl Gillette and they had three boys. After having children she spent most of her days being a homemaker to her family. After many prayers, by Patricia, Earl came to know the Lord. This was Patti's biggest blessing.

Patti was an active church member. She volunteered in her church's food pantry, made meals, attended Bible studies, prayer groups and more. Patti was a friend to all. She was always willing to give advice and a listening ear. She had so much empathy that it wasn't uncommon to see her crying at church. She had a big heart that she wore on her sleeve. Her community will miss her. She left goodies for her mail person and had close talks with her accountants and grocery bagger. You couldn't ignore her contagious smile. If she was ever upset you knew it by looking at her. A friend and a prayer was all she needed to settle. She found much joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed seeing pictures, school work, hearing stories and sending birthday cards. Her youngest great grandchild gave her the nickname "G G."

Patti spent her final years diligently, caring for her husband, Earl. She hated leaving his side. After he passed in February (2025) there was a hole in her life. Patricia voiced many times before her death that she was ready to be with him again.

She is survived by her brothers, Thomas (Alma) Lodge and John Lodge; sister, Joan Havenga; her three sons, Scott (Sandra) Gillette, Joel Gillette and Kurt Gillette; her 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Einfeld, Matthew (Sarah) Gillette, Brooke (Kyle) Hunsbereger, Dustin Gillette, Brittany (Michael) Peters and Kyle Gillette; 17 Great Grandchildren, Aviela Einfeld, Asher Einfeld, Azalea Einfeld, Alliot Einfeld, Abriella Einfeld, Amelia Einfeld, Dyllan Gillette, Liah Gillette, Lillian Hunsberger, Amelia Hunsberger, Matilda Hunsberger, Elliana Hunsberger, Hunter Gillette, Colton Gillette, Madison Gillette, Allison Peters and Bradley Peters; and many nephews, nieces, friends and wonderful church family.

Preceded in death are her parents Alfred Lodge and Helen Howler; and grandson, Justin Gillette.

Patricia's memorial service will start at 11 am on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Christ Community Church. Flowers may be sent to 3370 113th Ave, Allegan, MI 49010 prior to the service.

Donations may be made to Christ Community Church, Centrica Hospice or St. Judes Children's Hospital in honor of Patti.  Patti often donated to St. Judes.
