Obituary

Patricia Anne Rozek, 79, of Fennville, MI passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her home. Born August 14, 1942 in Harvey, IL, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Dennison, II and Maude (Mueller) Dennison. In 1959 she met the man that would become her husband, George Rozek. They wed on September 30, 1961 and enjoyed fifty-six years of marriage prior to his passing in 2019. Mrs. Rozek worked alongside George throughout their married life. In the late 1970's they had the distinction of being the last dealer to own a Clark Super 100 Gas Station in South Holland, IL. They relocated their family to Michigan and purchased the Mighty Midget Convenience Store in 1978 which they operated until retirement in 2014. Mrs. Rozek was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church, having attended both St. Peter's in Douglas and Blessed Sacrament in Allegan. Her family had been the source of her greatest joy. She loved the time they spent together and enjoyed the organization and planning those get-togethers often entailed. Mrs. Rozek made sure to keep in touch with everyone and looked forward to hosting her relatives from Illinois during the summers at the lake. She was a natural caregiver who always thought of others before herself, especially her husband to whom she lovingly cared for many years through his illness. Mrs. Rozek is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (James) Obuchowski, Cheryl Rozek and Cathy (Steven) Potter; brother, John (Debbie) Dennison; grandchildren, Trevor Haas and Chelsey Haas (Justin Wiseman); step-grandson, Joey (Emma) Haas and his family; great-grandchildren, Zyonn Houser and Braelyn Wiseman; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Dennison, III. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Douglas, with The Very Reverend Fabio Garzon, V.F. officiating.
