of Gobles, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, October 26, 2014. Pastor Pike was born January 12, 1932, in Mesick, the son of the late Curtis and Dorothy "Runyon" Pike. Gail graduated from Mesick High School in 1950, he attended Michigan State University, and graduated from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in 1954. On August 8, 1954, Gail married Joan Shine, who survives. He became the Pastor of Merson Church in 1954, and served as a Pastor until his death. He was Vice President of Heating and Cooling Wholesalers in Grand Rapids for over 43 years. Also surviving are his 3 children: William and Lynn Pike, Linda and Mike Phillips, Sharon and Mike Vermeulen-Groth, 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 5 brothers: Larry, Bob and Luella, Bruce and Barb, Ben and Janice, and Russell; his sister: Marie Bates; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother: Keith. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Merson Church at the corner of 102nd Ave. and M-40 S., where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11 am. Interment at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorials may be made to the Merson Church, or the Frontier School of the Bible, 125 5th Ave., LaGrange, WY, 82221.
