of Allegan, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Oscar was born September 7, 1935, in Alice Texas, the son of the late Arturo and Apolonia (Bazan) McKenzie. He had worked the fields in Texas for many years before coming to Michigan, where he worked at Rockwell Int. for over 21 years. Oscar also painted many homes both inside and out in the Allegan area for 14 years. He was a honest hard working man. Surviving are his wife, Maria of 57 years, 6 children; Noelia and Dennis Ross, Orlando and Angie McKenzie, Esther and Kevin Grindstaff, Oscar Jr. and Elizabeth McKenzie, Martha and Jerry Davenport, Arthur and Nancy McKenzie, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Joe and Ellen, Alonzo and Nel, and Homer, 3 sisters; Minerva and Rene Cardona, Eva and Victor Vigil, Pauline and Eliseo Yruegaz, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers; Gilbert, Arthur, Rene, and Gonzalo. In accordance to Oscar's wish, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
