Obituary

Orville J. Boylan, 64 of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his home. Mr. Boylan was born on July 1, 1952 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of the late Gerald and Luella (Bloom) Boylan. Orville was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a big scrapper. Orville had a wonderful way about him. He was a man with a big heart and taking care of his family and being there for them meant everything to him. His great sense of humor brought many smiles over the years and also helped to ease the not so pleasant times in life. Anytime someone needed something, you typically just had to ask Orville if he had it and inevitably he would pull something out of his pocket that would take care of the problem, whether it be candy for the kids (always root beer barrels), a screwdriver or any other gadget, he readily had it in his pocket. You sometimes wondered if he just had a bottomless pocket that allowed him to provide you with what you needed. His calming presence and loving spirit will be missed greatly. Orville is survived by his companion of 31 years, Phyllis Castaneda; his 6 children, Bev and Chad Hitchcock, Mable and Rodney Mills, James Boylan, Jason Boylan, Tammy and Earl Kreinbrook, and Matt Resseguie; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Gerald and Clairann Boylan, Donald Boylan, Tim Boylan and Sabrina Christman; 1 sister, Geraldine Stoddard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Carlotta Boylan; 2 sisters, Margaret Ann and Diane Boylan; and 2 grandchildren, Leigh and Betty. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Lee Cemetery, Lee Township.
