Allegan, died Friday, November 6, 2009, at the Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mr. Oisten was born November 13, 1936, in Allegan, the son of Clayton and Beatrice (Conklin) Oisten. Norm was a Veteran of the United States Army. He had worked for many years with Safe T Fence in Allegan as well as Scenic Security Fence in Holland. Surviving are his wife Carrie, 4 children, Norman Oisten of Otsego, Brian and Regina Oisten of Allegan, Trina and Kevin Blakeman of Gobles and Eric and Michelle Oisten of Allegan, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Jerry and Judy Oisten of Allegan, 5 sisters, Maxine Sperry, Betty Colley, Darlene Houseworth, Margaret Oisten and Joyce and Robert Meunier all of Allegan, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Rick. There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
