Obituary

age 99, of Allegan, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Allegan Country Estate. She was born August 4, 1911 in Allegan, Michigan, the daughter of Emmett and Rose (Setter) Weaver. Norma was an Allegan High School graduate and worked for many years in an abstract office as a typist. She married Jack C. Billman and together they raised their 7 children. Mrs. Billman was a very dedicated and hard-working mother and homemaker. She loved spending time in her vegetable garden and was the perfect provider for her family. Norma was a devoted member of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW) and dedicated many hours to the Altar Society. She was a lifetime member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Allegan. Norma is survived by her 7 children, Barbara, Robert, Jerry, James, Richard, Patricia, and Dennis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1974. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen Celebrant. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or the Council of Catholic Women.
