Obituary

Norma Garza-Kundtz, 59 of Hamilton, Michigan, passed on Friday, November 19, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born April 12, 1962 in Port Isabel, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ramio and Paula (Garza) Martinez and the wife of Craig Kundtz. Norma was a wonderful lady with a huge heart. She was a long-time member of the Antioch Fellowship Center and was very active in various charity organizations. Some even referred to her as the "heartbeat" - always doing what she could, volunteering her time and talents to help others. She was involved in the Operation Christmas Child and the Forgotten Man Ministries. Norma used her talents to make little hats for the preemie babies at Helen DeVos Hospital. She also volunteered at the Burnips Library. Even after all of her volunteering and helping of others, Norma still had plenty of energy and love to share with her family and friends. Spending time with her family, being a loving wife, doting mother and grandmother, she made sure that they all felt her love and knew they were first in her life. By her actions, she also conveyed to them how important it was to be there for others and how your actions, faith and compassion could make a difference in someone else's life. Norma was a true and wonderful person who is already missed by so many. Norma is survived by her husband, Craig; her three children, Noe (Jen) Garza, Christina (Nicholas) Garza-Prus, and Corey (Jen) Garza; six siblings, Otilia (Jose) Castro, Lucy (Roberto) Galvan, Ramio (Teresa) Martinez, Jr., Letty Ficca, Raymond Martinez, and Douglas (Sally) Kundtz; and eight grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Noe Garza; her sister, Ida Martinez; her mother-in-law, Donna Robar; and her father-in-law, Charles L. Kundtz.
