Nathaniel Lee Daniels, Sr., 79, of Allegan, MI passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at The Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland.  Born September 15, 1944 in Harrogate, TN, he was the son of the late Robert E. Daniels, Sr. and Laura (Ellis) Daniels and was the husband of Sylvia Alice (Aarstad) Daniels.  Nathaniel was retired from Propak after many years of dedicated employment.  He enjoyed working and spending time outdoors, especially going hunting and fishing.  Nathaniel was also a very good cook and always loved to share delicious meals with friends and family.

In addition to Sylvia, his wife of fifty-nine years, he is survived by his daughter, Janet Lynn Daniels and wife Kerri Ann Daniels; siblings, Keith (Marty) Daniels, Phyllis Brummell, Vada (Bob) Kraai, Evelyn Dyke, Robert (Lucille) Daniels, Jr., Jerry (Francine) Daniels, Harrell (Pereza) Daniels, Conrad Daniels, Darrell (Aileen) Daniels and Kenneth Ray Daniels; grandchildren, Nate (Tiffany) Daniels, III, Amber (Eric) Leitz and Ashley (Micah) Davis; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, Nathaniel was preceded in death by his son, Nathaniel Lee Daniels, Jr.; his brother, Travis Daniels; and his infant sister, Clementine Daniels.

The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM.  Nathaniel will be laid to rest following the service at Hudson Corners Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
