Obituary

of Mesick, MI, formerly of Allegan, died tragically Thursday, November 12, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident in the Traverse City area. Nathan was born on August 5, 1986, in Kalamazoo, the son of Paul K. and Marletta L. (Gebhardt) Bloss. He graduated from Allegan Alternative High School in 2004. One of Nathan's favorite pastimes was spending time with his wife, Andrea, and building their beautiful life together. He also loved to fish, spending most of his time outdoors, and teaching his children about fishing and appreciating nature. If Nate wasn't spending time with his family, fishing or hunting, most likely you would find him in a tree or on a rooftop, which led him to landing his dream job, working for BRD Construction with his brother-in-law, Ryan, as a roofer. Nathan is survived by his wife, Andrea; 4 children: Gabrial, Hailey, McKenzie, and Anthony; his father: Paul and Kim Bloss; his mother: Marti Nation and Bill Williams; 3 brothers: Levi Nation and Allyson Staeven; Blake and Vicki Nation; C.J. and Kelli Kwiatkowski; 5 sisters: Tammy and Chris Wagner; Lacey Nation and Jayce Courtney, Amber and Aaron Lasseigne; Blane Traxler; Ava Nation; his grandparents: Virg and Shirley Gebhardt; his brother-in-law: Ryan and Jene Lavan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Pete and Dorothy Bloss; his uncle: Phil Bloss; and his step-father: Tim Nation. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, November 18, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, at 1 pm, Jon Rigan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nathan's family in care of his wife, Andrea.
