Nancy Marie (Sias) Holt, 82 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her home. Born February 8, 1940, in Midland, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Keith and Marjorie (Glasgow) Sias and the wife of the late Dwane Holt. Nancy lived most of her life in Midland, Michigan, where she graduated from Midland High School, married her loving husband of 42 years, Dwane, and spent over 43 years working for Chemical Bank and Trust before retiring. Nancy and Dwane loved football and enjoyed going to Wisconsin one to two times a year to watch the Greenbay Packers play. She had a special love for animals and was always thrilled to see her little deer friends venture into her backyard. Being a kind and gentle person, Nancy was known for helping anyone in need. She was also a woman who relished order and cleanliness, and her home reflected it. Although, if the grandchildren wanted to make some messes while they all played together, that was just fine. Being a grandma brought great joy to Nancy and she loved her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She is already greatly missed by those who knew her. Nancy is survived by her son, Paul Schaffer; her sister, Maryanne (Jerry) Spencer; her grandchildren, Jennica Schaffer, Whitney (Jordan) Brown, and Emelyn Terwee; and her great-grandchildren, Sydney, Connor, Hailey and Bo. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Sias and Herb Sias. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Holland for their kindness and care during the last few weeks of Nancy's life.
