of Allegan, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Mrs. Hammer was born July 11, 1918, in Byron Twp., the daughter of Leland and Inez (Burkhead) Hanes. Myrna worked part time in downtown Allegan, at R.B.Huff, for several years. Surviving are her 6 children; Richard and Marie of Allegan, Terry and Nancy of Pullman, Ken and Susan of New Haven, Carl of TN, Bob and Sandy of Allegan, Larry and Becky of TN, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, daughter, Carolyn, and her brother, Richard, 2 sisters; Barb and Elva. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, April 21, from 3 pm till service time at 5 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Private graveside will take place at Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Twp.
