Allegan, MI, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at Metron of Allegan. Mrs. Johnson was born January 9, 1913 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Meyer and Anna (Stoller) Bloom. She attended the Monterey Center United Methodist Church and was a member of the South Monterey Women's Club. She was a member of the Allegan Business and Professional Women where she was named Woman of the Year in 1986. She was a trustee for Dollars for Scholars, was an Allegan Lioness, and was active in the Allegan County Fair, the Kiawani's Republican Party, the Chamber of Commerce and volunteered for many organizations. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spruce, and many brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. at The Silo, 1071 M40 S., Allegan. Mr. Les Tooman, speaker. A time of food and fellowship will follow the service. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dollars for Scholars. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
