born November 11, 1913, in Buchanan, Michigan, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, peacefully at the Wings Home in Allegan following a head injury from a fall. Surviving is her son Mike (Perletta) Hodge and her daughter Pat Philley; Grandchildren: Allen (Terri) Philley, Barb (Joe) Wine, Jerry Hodge and Diana (Steven) McDaniels; Her great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Lauretta Tremaine. Preceding her in passing was her husband Merton Hodge; her parents, Vernon and Viva May (Porter) Tremaine; and her son Fred; Her brothers: Coral, Harold and Robert; her sisters: baby Francis, Lorna Dunford and Betty Joe Brown. A special thanks to the aids and staff of Briarwood Assisted Living for their tremendous care and compassion this summer following her broken hip, and also to the Wings Home and Wings of Hope Hospice for their kindness and palliative care. Thank you to Allegan General Hospital and the Doctors and Nurses for their treatment and special care. A private family graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
