Gulf Shores, AL, formerly of Allegan, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 in Alabama. Mrs. Swanty was born April 27, 1915 in Allegan, the daughter of James G. and Edna (Morris) Clawson. She graduated from Allegan High School, Class of 1932. Surviving are 3 daughters and their husbands, Barbara and John Larson and Sharon and Joe Everitt, all of Gulf Shores, AL, and Jean and David Smith of Sturgis; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 1 sister-in-law, Margaret Leber of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Evar Carlson and Axel Swanty. Friends may meet with the family from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the GORDEN FUNERAL RESIDENCE, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Monday at 11 a.m. Pastors Dean Beckwith and Rod Hill officiating. Interment Immanuel Lutheran Sheep of the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Watson Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church Building Fund.
