Kansas City, MO, formerly of Allegan, died Monday, July 17, 2006 in Missouri. Mrs. Oakleaf was born June 7, 1919 in Allegan, the daughter of James and Anne Slotman. She was a member of the Allegan Eagles and Elks and, together with her husband, had built, owned, and operated Homecrest Villa in Allegan for many years. Surviving are 1 daughter, Diane Funk, of Kansas City, MO; 2 grandchildren, Karrie Winemiller of Kansas City, MO and David Funk of Liberty, MO; 2 great grandchildren, Brandon Goucher and Kelsey Winemiller; 1 brother, Howard Slotman of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph, in 1979, brothers, Julian and John Slotman and son-in-law, Larry Funk. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Fred Perry officiating.
