Mildred Harriet Durham, age 90, peacefully joined our Lord on Friday, October 4th, 2019, at Allegan County Medical Care Community. She was born June 23rd, 1929 in Chicago to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Kistel) Kuhny. Mildred worked for the Fruit Exchange and Canning Factory in Fennville and also at Delano ing Service. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and spent as much time as she could with her family. She was a hard worker both on the job and at home. She always wanted to provide the best for her family, and she did a wonderful job. The love she had for them was always felt by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lincoln Durham. They loved each other in marriage for 49 years until his death on November 15, 1995. Her sisters, Frances Sweet and Florence Pletz, along with her brother, Wesley Kuhny, and son-in-law, Loren Vanderhyde, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her five children, Linda (Loren) Vanderhyde of Hastings, Raymond (Kathy) Durham of Gobles, Danny (Mary) Durham of Allegan, Tina (Ricardo) Bazan of Otsego and Harriet (Daniel) Haarman of Alpine, Wyoming; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. Friends may meet the family from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Gorden Funeral Residence in Allegan where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., Pastor Paul Hays, from the Assembly of God Church, officiating. Graveside services will be held at Hudson Corners Cemetery. Following the service, a Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at the Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC) at 728 River Street in Allegan. The Durham family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at the Allegan County Medical Care Community for their attentiveness and loving care.
