Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Bennett was born Dec. 29, 1918 in Allegan, the daughter of Robert A. and Adeline (Dornan) Bennett. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Ladies Guild. She was a 1936 graduate of Allegan High School. She had been employed as a secretary for 9 years with the County Supt. of Schools, 21 years with Selective Services, 1A½ years with the Allegan Co. Chapter of the American Red Cross, and then worked parttime for several years at the City News Stand. Surviving are several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dorothea Bennett of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marcius Bennett in 2000. Memorial services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Allegan. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating.
