Michelle Deanne Van Patten, 51 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Born November 28, 1970 in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Toby (Plotts) Prymula and the wife of Donald Van Patten. Michelle worked for the Perrigo Company in the IT Department for 30 years, where she was respected and liked for her outgoing personality and effective way of dealing with people. She was a woman full of life who enjoyed every day to its fullest. Simple things brought her great joy - singing in the car, spending time at Dumont Lake with family, swimming, picnics and making amazing food to share with her family and friends. She was well known for her pasta salad, rice crispy treats, brownies, and chocolate peanut butter no bakes. Michelle was also an avid bowler of which she earned the woman's league championship. Trips to the casino, especially Vegas casinos, were thoroughly enjoyed by Michelle and Donald. Something about those slot machines made her grin, especially if she won! Michelle did her best to make people feel special and loved. The void she has left in this world is felt far beyond her family. She was truly a woman who made an impression on all who met her. Left to cherish the special memories that Michelle left are her husband, Donald; her children, Darcy Van Patten, Heather Van Patten, Jacqualine Conroy, and Mattie Moss; and her five siblings, Cari (Chad) Stevens, Milissa (Kyle) Baxter, Leah (Charlie) TerAvest, Aaron (Kaysie) Prymula, and Jenny (Jeff) Kosiorowski. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. No formal service is planned, just time to visit and share stories and memories of Michelle's life.
