of Gobles, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his home. Mike was born January 10, 1947 in Allegan, the son of Peter J. and Sarah (Esseltine) Oram. He was a graduate of Allegan High School, Class of 1965. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and spent his time working on the flight decks and playing basketball on a traveling Navy League. His working career started in Allegan at Rockwell, where he spent about 20 years, he then went to work for Milbocker and Son's, where he enjoyed 20 more years. Mike loved his kids and grandchildren, and will be sadly missed. Surviving are his 2 children, Erica and Ted Stender of Gobles and Justin Oram of Allegan, 4 grandchildren, Seth, Grant, Elli and Adrian, 4 brothers, Art and Pat, Pete and Pam, David and Jane all of Allegan and Jim and Judy of Plainwell, 1 sister, Patty Oram of Kalamazoo, his aunt, Kate Lyons, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a close friend Annette Reed. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 5-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am. Pastor Ivan Niswender will officiate.
