Michael Edwin Lechman, 65 of Gobles, Michigan, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born August 2, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late George Lechman and the late Barbara (Slager) Janowitz and the husband of Mary (Rimkus) Lechman. Mike, as most people knew him, was a family man and he and Mary were blessed to have three daughters and their families that they were able to share many memorable and precious times together. Working for the Perrigo Company for 11 years, he had fun running the forklift and making new friends. When not working, he enjoyed wood working, hunting, camping and just floating on the lake. Being outside and soaking up nature always brought a smile to his face. Another fact about Mike was that he was a faithful Green Bay Packers fan. If he were going to sit still for long, it would be to watch the Packers play! Michael's enthusiasm for life and his genuine laughter and smile will continue in the hearts of his family and friends. Those to carry on his legacy are his loving wife of 37 years, Mary; his three daughters, Nicole (Tyler) Stariha, Jessica (Jacob) Fields, and Jennifer (Andrew) Lo Presti; two siblings, Kathy (Tim) LeRoy and John Janowitz; two grandchildren, Lainey and Kenton Stariha; and one granddaughter on the way, Hadley Grace Fields. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at which time the funeral service will begin. Memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Interment will take place at Earl Cemetery, Pine Grove Township.
