of Allegan, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mr. Brokus was born August 28, 1951, in Allegan, the son of John L. and Iva Louise (Barfell) Brokus. Mike graduated from Allegan High School in 1969. He worked for several years in Holland at the Vo-Tech for small engine repair, and was a insurance adjuster for 15 years. Surviving are his 2 daughters, Amy Brokus of Kalamazoo, and Sarah Brokus of Allegan, 1 granddaughter, Lillian, his brother, John Brokus, of Otsego, 1/2 brother, Benny Koteras, of Allegan, 1 nephew, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 6 pm until service time at 7 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Tim TenClay from the Dunningville Reformed Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Allegan Neighbors Fund C/O Allegan General Hospital.
