Allegan, MI, died Saturday, May 2, 2009. Melissa was born November 9, 1979 in Plainwell, the daughter of Richard and Kathleen (Stephenson) Hastings. She and her husband worked for U.S. Express Enterprises as truck drivers. She loved to travel and loved living life. Surviving are her husband, Michael; father, Richard (Paula) Hastings of Allegan; mother, Kathleen Hastings of Allegan; grandparents, Ron and Beverly Esterline of Allegan; half-brother, Shawn Snyder; stepbrother, Nathan Clark; parents-in-law, Pete and Kathleen Luker of Aberdeen, MS; 7 brothers and sisters-in-law; and life-long friend, Leann LaFountaine. Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor David Armstrong officiating.
