Melissa Ann Emmons, 40, of Allegan, MI passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Born September 7, 1980 in Allegan, she was the daughter of Laura and Tim Hunter and Mark and Jackie Covault. Melissa had worked as a caregiver at Falco Adult Foster Care Home for over four years. She truly enjoyed the time spent with the residents there and treasured the relationships she had with each of them. Melissa was a goofball with a laugh that was contagious and was quite the prankster who loved to have a good time with her family and friends. She liked to relax by spending time outdoors walking, laying in the sun and camping. Melissa loved to spoil her dogs and to cheer for her Green Bay Packers. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of more than three years, Charles Benitez; her children, Haley Ann Emmons and Hayden Alan Emmons; her siblings, Heather A. Covault, Amanda (Robert) Hensley, Sierra (Jordan) Dalton, Troy Allan Covault and Jennifer Arendt; and her nieces and nephews, Madisen, Brennen, Peyton, Braylin, Matthew, Mayson, Weston and Little LJ. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM.
