Matthew Alexander Vance, 50 of Rockhill, South Carolina (formerly of Allegan, Michigan), passed away at his home on Monday, October 31, 2022. Born February 4, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Jack and Glenda (Russ) Vance. Matthew was known for enjoying the outdoors and the many activities that came with it, such as fishing, camping, hunting, boating and water sports. Being a father to his three children was something that he treasured. Even though distance separated them physically, he loved them all and appreciated each of them for their unique qualities and genuineness. Matthew was a caring and loving person who enjoyed being around family and friends. The loss of his presence in their lives is already felt. Those left to cherish their memories of Matthew are his father, Jack Vance; his stepmother, Joan Vance; his mother, Glenda Messer; his three children, Gage (Karlie) Fifelski, Hunter Vance, and Riley Vance; and his two siblings, Rachel (Lance) Gruhn and Michael (Jamie) Vance; and his significant other, Debbie Humphries. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
