Cheshire Twp., Allegan, MI, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Borgess-Pipp Health Center, Plainwell. Matthew was born November 3, 1970 in Allegan, the son of Robert and Dianne (Smith) Thomson. He had been employed at Marshall Plastics in Martin for 15 years and loved his wife and children. Surviving are his wife, Heather (Hammer); 2 children, Joshua and Caitlynn; father, Robert Thomson of Martin; mother and stepfather, Dianne and Dave Christman of Allegan; 3 brothers, Bob and Cheryl Thomson of Allegan, Tim and Joyce Thomson of Plainwell, and Dan Thomson and his fiancee', Amy Cross, of Allegan; 2 sisters, Kim and Richard Christman of Allegan and Petra Smith and her fiancAC., Peter Lahr, of Olivet; 2 stepbrothers, David and Jamie Christman of Allegan and Tim and Heather Christman of Martin; 3 stepsisters, Cathy Christman and her fiancAC., Jack Jamison, of Allegan, Sue and Doug Bradshaw of Martin, and Jennifer and Eric Bellinger of Allegan; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Richard and Marie Hammer of Allegan; brother-in-law, Mike Hammer and his fiancee', Tina Harbison, of Fennville; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may meet with the family from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor David Nightingale officiating.
