of Allegan, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Wilcox was born July 4, 1927, in Watson Twp., the daughter of Bernard and Ann (Shields) Cavanaugh. Mary graduated from Allegan High School in 1945, she was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and very involved in the CCW. She worked for Tru Heat in Allegan for over 15 years, and volunteered many hours of her time at the Allegan General Hospital. Surviving are her 3 children; Jim and Donna Wilcox of TN, Susan and Stan Bernstein of New York, and Laura France of TN, 6 grandchildren; Kim and Gary Clayton, Dr's Jason and Carrie Wilcox, Bret and Gabriela Orr, Brianne Orr-Alvarez and her husband Raul, Cole France and Dallas France, 7 great grandchildren; Taylor, Riley, Reid, Keagan, Kellen, Sebastian, and Micaela, her brother, Ed and Beth Cavanaugh, her sister, Maggie and Milt Hunter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellwood "Squirt", 2 daughters; Marilyn and Joanie, 4 brothers; Barney, Raymond, Larry, and Tom. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 5-7 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 5 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Rev. Father Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant. Interment at the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice or Dollars for Scholars.
