Mary Ann Nelson, 69 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at her home. Born March 2, 1952 in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Hazel (Gowens) Warstler and the wife of David Lee Nelson. Mary was a spunky lady who enjoyed playing jokes on others and making people laugh. She had a great sense of humor which always showed through. Mary worked for the Perrigo Company for 20 years where she met a lot of wonderful people who became lifelong friends. Mary had the most beautiful flower gardens that were her pride and joy. She had a passion for making sure her flowers were given lots of tender loving care and looked vibrant. Cooking was another of Mary's gifts and her wonderful food was enjoyed by all. Special times were spent taking long drives along the countryside with her hubby and enjoying the beauty around them. As much as Mary loved her husband and children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren occupied a huge part of her heart. Mary's feisty personality and huge heart have left a void in the hearts of her loved ones and friends. Along with her loving husband, David, Mary is survived by her four children, Glenn (Robin Johnson) Coffey, Dorothy (Brian) Blackman, Deanna (Steve) Nelson, and Debra (Rob Doster) Ehn; two step children, Bradley (Cortnee) Nelson and Shannon (Leantar Khayyam) Nelson; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Lawrence Warstler, Laura McMann, Sharon (Ernest) Coffey, Barb (Ray) Webb, Joanne (Stan) Morris, Dale (Roseann) Kniley, and Eugene (Susan) Pattee. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Parker. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Trowbridge Township Hall on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
