More than anything, Peggy loved her family. She never missed the chance to spearhead special events, especially Thanksgiving and birthdays. She was infamous for her belief that everyone should have a homemade birthday cake of their favorite flavor, hand decorated of course. Peggy had a heart for her community. Her maternal love extended far beyond her children. The door and her table were open 24 hours to their friends and families. Greetings and see you laters never lacked a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek. Peggy was known for her hugs. She was a devoted Catholic, she loved her church, her local schools, Notre Dame football, her classmates at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Elkhart, her New Jersey Family, her Fit Body Boot Camp Family, and her close group of friends she called "The Girls".
She loved traveling, especially with her husband and family, the Cheboygan cabin, pontoon rides on Miner Lake, trips to the Jersey Shore, the Florida Keys and numerous other places. Home improvement projects were a passion, extensive landscaping, her beautiful floral gardens and construction of flowing waterfalls and her fish and frog ponds were cherished activities. She enjoyed long walks with her beloved dog Darby and skiing when the snow was just right. She never missed an opportunity to teach her kids and grandkids how to ski. Her love for the outdoors was abundant no matter the season.
