Obituary

Mary A. Hyett, 88 of Allegan, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Hyett was born December 26, 1916 in Indiana Harbor, IN the daughter of Adam and Monica (Stigler) Vukelich. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Our Lady of Fatima Circle. Mrs. Hyett was a nature lover and truly enjoyed being outside. She enjoyed gardening, watching deer and looking at the sun or the moon in the sky. Surviving are 2 daughters, Rose Person of Otsego, Margaret Warning of Allegan; 5 grandchildren, Lori Person, Melissa (Todd) Corn, Joan (Travis) Bell, Andrew (Kim) Person, and Jeff Arndt; 7 great grandchildren, Brittany, Travis, Dusty, Jake, Adam, Jillian, and Jacqueline. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth in 1965, her husband, Monroe in 1983, and a brother, Charles Kelly. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be Monday 11:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A. officiating. Interment Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery, Allegan. Memorial contributions may be made to Trowbridge United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund.
