Allegan, Michigan, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Howard was born July 2, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Willie and Celia (King) Thrash. Surviving are 3 children, Antoinette Madison (Lonnie Everett)of Los Angeles, CA, Leo Ervin (Janice) Madison, and Sharon Lea (Byron) Pegram, both of Allegan; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchldren; 2 brothers, David (Mary) Thrash of Allegan and Emeal (Linda) Thrash of Kalamazoo; 4 sisters, Darlene (John) Spraggins of Benton Harbor, Dorothy (Rev. Jeremiah) Johnson, Annette (Calvin) O'Bryant, and Marjorie Stevenson, all of Allegan; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Sylvester Madison and Samuel Howard; 2 sisters and 3 brothers, Virginia Mitchell, Katherine Lockett, Richard, Jerry, and Leo Thrash. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Rev. Jeremiah Johnson officiating. Interment Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Twp.
