of Allegan, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at the Ely Manor Nursing Home in Allegan. Mrs. Davis was born September 24, 1927, in Goshen, Alabama, the daughter of James and Lois (Mills) Davis. Mary was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, and had worked for many years at the Allegan High School helping feed the kids. Surviving are her 2 nephews; Kevin and Deb Davis of Richland, Brett Davis of Kalamazoo, 2 nieces; Cindy and Steve DeRyke of Kalamazoo, and Rhonda and Bill Hausman of Gregory, 5 great nieces and nephews; Jim and Amber Nelson, Christopher, Michael, Shaun, and Allison, she was also very involved with Dr. Peter and Sandy Savage's family, where she was like a grandma. She had many close friends and neighbors who were all dear to her. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, April 8, at the First Baptist Church, from 12 noon till service time at 1 pm. Pastor Greg Carlson will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Church. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
