of Plainwell, formerly of Allegan, died Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Stanford Lodge in Plainwell. Mrs. Cottrill was born January 25, 1919, in Gladwin , the daughter of Norman and Ida Mae (Wesley) Bergey. Mary graduated from Gladwin High School in 1937 and had worked for Allegan State Bank and 1st National Bank for over 23 years before retiring in the late 70's. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and always put family first. Surviving are her 2 children, Patricia Flower of Kalamazoo, and Douglas and Melinda Cottrill of Plainwell, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall, son-in-law, Homer Flower, 2 sisters, Viola and Eileen, and 1 brother, Wesley. A private graveside service will be held at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Pastor Al Lambert will officiate. Memorials may be made to Stanford Lodge. 409 Naomi St., Plainwell, MI 49080.
